THE CRAFT SPIRIT- HAKKA MEE
Hakka Mee is the represented food of Hakka in Malaysia. The dialect of Chinese spoken by the Hakka. The origin of Hakka mee is from China, Guang Dong Mei Zhou country.

The project are required to design a book based on “Malaysia Culture& Value”. The theme that I was choosing on this project is THE CRAFT SPIRIT. In this project, I went to interview a master chef make Hakka Mee by hand at Ipoh, Malaysia.

Inside the book will be divided to four parts. The first parts was introduce Hakka Mee culture in Malaysia. Second parts will talking about Master Wong Leek’s story. The third parts will be talking about he’s impression in this industry and what are the reason persist the traditional handcraft until now. And the last parts is introduce about the process of signature Hakka Mee with Yong Tau Foo.
